Illegally Blonde
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007Dear sugarplum fairy,
Hello everyone and how is everybody?
A quick update.
I am going through a transition in my life, shifting from my truest self and altering my life’s path. What about you?
Its so nice to be back. I am at home and it is a Sunday today. My heart is steady and it beats a calm rhythm of content and sheer happiness. Life is a rollercoaster, at least for me it is. But when you come to a point in your life where the chaos is tempered and has slowly come to stillness, you thank Him - for He, who created you, has created this cradle of happiness for you to seek comfort in. Even if it is temporary.
Last Monday, I came back into the office and took a new role. I’m feeling a lot more grown up now than my usual self and you begin to feel the weight of responsibility befall you. And you also realise, you are only 19. But how can you complain? Life is not all a big party and consistent excitement. This pace in life is a nice slice of reality and a thought- for we are not getting any younger.
On a different note, my hair is bleached blonde. It is unbelievable. Completely accidental but terribly chic! I could’ve sworn by my bulging eyes when my hairdresser took the towel away from my hair that i hated it so! But its starting to settle and verily, something new. I am, well, beginning to like it. They’re right you know, blondes do have more fun.
I saw the latest Marc Jacobs collection and it is insanely suicidal. It truly is the end of him.
Lately, I have been working very hard, waking up for work and running to school afterwards. And finally, i am tasting the fruits of my labour. I am doing extremely well in school and my parents have been very proud. And may i reiterate, it hasn’t been the easiest thing to do.
Running off to the gym now.
Have a blessed Ramadhan, friends.
